I'm Darby (she/her) and I'm a Seattle-based playwright, teaching artist, dramaturg, and director! I love to write plays in layers - I find the core meaning I want to impart and then figure out what kind of fun and/or poignant context to dress it with. I'm interested in writing work that involves history and other mediums of art as well as plays that center queer voices and women's voices. My work has been developed at Seattle Opera, UW School of Drama, and Horizon Theatre, among others. I'm a recent graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in Drama and a Political Science minor.
